As a Content Specialist, your role is to be responsible for day-to-day assembly and deployment of digital content across Dis-Chem's app, website, and digital platforms. Work effectively across multiple teams and external partners to deliver world-class digital content that supports business objectives and enhances customer experience across all digital touchpoints.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Matric or equivalent Senior Certificate
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years' experience in online/app environment including experience in CMS
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CMS platforms, basic design tools, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Digital Platforms: Experience with ecommerce platforms and mobile app content management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing Management
  • Experience in retail, online advertising, or eCommerce
  • Knowledge of SAP Commerce Cloud, Braze, and SAP CDC platforms
  • Understanding of digital marketing and content optimisation

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

  • Manage e-commerce product catalogue and product listings across all digital platforms (Own and maintain brand landing pages)
  • Manage and maintain: Services pages, Legal and compliance pages (T&Cs, Privacy Policy, FAQs, disclaimers) and Informational and support content
  • Execute category BMC (Base Merchandise Category) mapping and maintain taxonomy alignment
  • Update new and existing content within ecommerce platforms through backend systems
  • Ensure promotional offers calculate correctly and pricing elements are accurate
  • Coordinate special online promotions, online exclusives, and one-day deals
  • Administer banners, blocks, pages, badges in CMS systems (SAP Commerce Cloud, Braze)
  • Compile monthly content calendars for app, website, and marketplace execution

  • Comprehensive understanding of digital content management, e-commerce platforms, and product cataloguing
  • Have problem-solving abilities for content-related challenges with appropriate escalation
  • Have a good understanding of retail operations and how content impacts customer experience
  • Manages individual content projects and coordinates with multiple stakeholders
