WHAT YOU'LL DO?

The Senior Engineering Manager provides strategic and operational leadership across multiple tribes, ensuring scalable delivery, alignment with business objectives, and growth of leadership capability. This role exists to translate strategic direction into actionable execution, drive engineering excellence, and strengthen stakeholder partnerships. The Senior Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in building a sustainable, high-performing engineering organisation.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years’ experience in engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
Proven experience managing large-scale engineering teams and budgets.
Track record of aligning engineering strategy with business objectives.
Experience working in healthcare, clinical, or regulated environments
Proven ability to lead engineering teams delivering healthcare or domain-specific platforms
Understanding of complex system integrations within healthcare ecosystems

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

Lead delivery of healthcare / clinical engineering initiatives across squads
Ensure engineering solutions align with clinical workflows and domain requirements
Partner with architecture and product teams to deliver clinic-based digital solutions
Shape and execute the engineering strategy aligned with organisational and product goals.
Define key performance metrics and ensure delivery excellence across tribes.
Lead strategic planning and resource allocation to support long-term growth.
Ensure consistent application of architecture and quality standards across all engineering domains
Oversee engineering budgets and ensure alignment with organisational financial objectives.
Promote learning agility and technical development within leadership ranks.

You are a strategic and technically grounded leader with a strong understanding of engineering systems, architecture, and delivery frameworks. You confidently assess technical risks and resource trade-offs, using software delivery metrics and agile performance indicators to guide decisions and drive continuous improvement. You lead with empathy and clarity, excelling in people management, coaching, and mentorship to grow capable, confident teams. Through thoughtful decision-making and strategic prioritisation, you align technical execution with business goals while empowering others to perform at their best.
