Pay Rate: $22.70/hr
Job Duties Include:
- Supports in preparation and baking of all bakery items for menu and catered events
- Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met
- Understand and work by Baker’s Percentages
- Knowledge of mixing techniques for sponges, breads, mousses, etc.
- Ensure that station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard
- Assumes responsibility for the basic operations of his/her station for short periods when required in the absence of the Chef De Partie or Demi – CDP
Qualifications
- Previous baking experience in high volume production
- Knowledge of mixing techniques for various yeast breads and quick breads
- Experience in a luxury hotel with comparable service and standards an asset
- Red Seal Certificate (Journeyman’s papers) or Recognized International Equivalent considered an asset
- Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
