We design hiring processes, run recruitment end to end, and build People Ops functions from scratch. AI and automation sit inside everything we deliver, not in the sales pitch.

We are small, founder led, and growing on the back of one thing: quality of delivery. You would be one of the first people shaping how this company works from the inside.

The role

You will build and run People Ops. Most of your time goes to our anchor client, a funded Saudi startup where we act as their full People function. The rest goes to building Techy Recruiter itself.

The split looks like this:

Client delivery (about 70%)

  • Write and roll out HR policies, the employee handbook, and attendance systems

  • Build KPI structures and performance review cycles with department leads

  • Design and run employee satisfaction surveys, then turn results into action

  • Support hiring and offboarding processes so they are fair, documented, and consistent

  • Prepare for and join weekly syncs with client leadership

Building Techy Recruiter internally (about 20%)

  • Create our onboarding playbook. New team members should ramp in days, not weeks

  • Write instruction templates and how we work docs so knowledge stops living in one head

  • Set up contractor agreements and internal process basics

Systemizing (about 10%)

  • Every client deliverable you build becomes a reusable template. The handbook you write for one client becomes the foundation for the next. You are building a library, not one-off documents

Who does well here

We hire on attitude first. Two traits matter more than anything on your CV:

You own things and you never go silent. When something breaks, you say so within 24 hours. You ask for help early instead of disappearing into a problem. Bad news delivered fast is respected here. Silence is not.

You move fast without cutting corners. You care about craft. You use tools and automation to work smarter, not to skip the thinking. Done well and done quickly are the same goal, not a trade off.

What you need

  • 3 to 6 years in HR, People Ops, or a generalist people role

  • You have built at least one process from nothing: a handbook, an onboarding flow, a review cycle, anything that did not exist before you

  • Strong written Arabic and English. You will write documents people actually read

  • Comfortable working remotely with structure you partly create yourself

  • Organized in tools like Notion. Your documentation is something you are proud of

What makes you stand out

  • Experience working with Saudi or GCC companies, remotely or on the ground. Knowledge of Saudi labor practices is a real plus

  • Genuine curiosity about AI tools. You do not need to be an expert. We will teach you a stack most HR teams have never touched. We need you to want to learn it

  • Startup or agency experience where you wore more than one hat

Work conditions

We practice what we sell to clients, so this is straightforward:

  • Contractor agreement, remote, full time capacity

  • Paid monthly in USD against your invoice

  • $500 to $650 USD per month depending on experience, with a written compensation review at 90 days

  • Flexible hours with core overlap from 11:00 to 16:00 Cairo time

  • 21 working days off per year plus Egyptian public holidays. Yes, as a contractor. That is the point

  • 30 days notice, both ways

  • After 6 months and continued company growth, we open the conversation about formal employment

  • Full access and training on our AI and automation stack: Claude, Notion, Ashby, Fireflies, n8n and more

  • Occasional travel may come later, fully covered

Your first 30 days have one fixed deliverable: the Techy Recruiter onboarding playbook. It is how we will onboard everyone after you, and it is how we will know you can build process, not just follow it.

How we hire

Use AI to help with your application if you want. We build with AI daily, so we'd be the last to judge. But we read every answer, and generic gets rejected. Specific beats polished here.

  1. Screening call (30 min). Your background, your questions, honest answers about the company stage

  2. Working session (60 min). A real scenario from our client work. No trick questions, no free labor. We want to see how you think

  3. Founders round (45 min). Attitude and ways of working, with Tarek our Founder

  4. Offer. Decision within 3 working days of your final round. We tell you either way
