Job Description
Advanced Purchaser BA SAM ASC - Procurement (On-site)
- Lead all material-related topics in the BA project team.
- Responsible to control supplier-related milestones during the product development phase in-time sourcing.
- Follow-up on supplier and material status.
- Ensure a smooth and comprehensive hand-over to Plant Purchasing.
- Responsible for sourcing after SOP for BA-specific parts or if the BA has triggered the sourcing.
- Responsible for component sourcing and supplier selection.
- Support final negotiations in conjunction with Category Management to ensure competitiveness.
- Ensure in time Supplier Component Review e.g. by organizing/inviting the meetings.
- Support cost Reduction Programs (CRP) for BA’s products after SOP.
- Achieve best cost structure for acquisitions and new projects.
- Drive digitalization initiatives within Purchasing by using data-driven tools to improve transparency and decision-making.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint to analyze supplier/material data and prepare clear, digital dashboards and presentations.
Qualifications
- University degree in Economics/Technical studies or relevant professional experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in Purchasing or project functions.
- Experience in working with international teams on purchasing issues.
- Understanding and capability to collaborate with different foreign cultures (NAFTA, Asia, several European cultures).
- Good command of English, both written and verbal.
- Communication skills including presentation and negotiation techniques.
- Technical understanding of specific components / products.
- Procurement Process and Product Life Cycle (PLC) knowledge.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot, PowerQuery, XLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Strong PowerPoint skills for creating structured, insightful presentations.
- Confidence in working with digital tools, dashboards and data-driven decision processes.
