Scope of Work:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior working leader responsible for providing day-to-day operational oversight, workforce coordination, and hands-on technical support for facilities maintenance and repair activities in support of the USAG Miami project site. This position operates as a deputy to the Project Manager and plays a critical role in supporting overall operations and maintenance (O&M) execution.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight for facilities maintenance personnel and support overall mission execution as deputy to the Project Manager.
- Function as a working supervisor capable of performing general maintenance and repair activities across multiple trades disciplines as needed.
- Oversee preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, emergency service calls, and facility repair operations.
- Support HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance activities while ensuring quality workmanship and operational efficiency.
- Monitor Maximo work orders for accuracy, timely closeout, and proper documentation.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and on-the-job training to maintenance personnel.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental through routine inspections and quality reviews.
- Assist with subcontractor oversight, vendor performance, and maintenance inventory accountability including tools, equipment, materials, and vehicles.
- Coordinate material ordering and supply tracking to maintain operational readiness.
- Analyze maintenance trends and deficiencies to improve efficiency and overall maintenance performance.
- Support staffing, onboarding, coaching, workforce scheduling, overtime management, and employee development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible experience in facilities operations and maintenance environments.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience across multiple maintenance disciplines including general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
- Ability to function as a working supervisor and perform field maintenance activities as operational needs require.
- Trade certification, journeyman license, or technical certification in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or related maintenance field preferred.
- EPA Universal Certification preferred for HVAC-related work.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with work order systems such as Maximo preferred.
- Must be able to maintain the ability to access the government worksite.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- This position is primarily performed in an office setting; however, regular site visits and field inspections are Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time.
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
- Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
