Job Description

As the Food & Beverage Manager, you will be the driving force behind the success of Mr Good Guy, leading from the front while balancing strategic thinking with operational excellence.  You’ll create an environment where guests feel welcomed, the team feels empowered, and the venue continues to thrive.

You will:

  • Lead with passion, presence, and personality – setting the tone for unforgettable service
  • Inspire and develop a high-performing team that enjoy delivering memorable dining experiences
  • Elevate the guest experience through innovation, creativity, and attention to detail
  • Drive performance across revenue, costs, and operational excellence
  • Oversee daily operations of Mr Good Guy and hotel food & beverage services
  • Manage financial performance, including revenue growth, labour costs, stock control and profitability
  • Deliver brand standards and operational excellence across all service touchpoints
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop exciting food and beverage offerings to keep the venue fresh and relevant
  • Identify opportunities to increase patronage, drive local engagement, and maximise commercial performance

Qualifications

You’re an experienced hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a genuine passion for food, people and creating memorable guest experiences.

You will be successful if you have:

  • Proven experience managing food and beverage operations, within a hotel or restaurant (minimum 2 years)
  • A hands-on leadership style that motivates, develops, and inspires teams
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, service delivery, and guest engagement
  • Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, labour costs, and profitability
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A calm, solutions-focused approach in a dynamic hospitality environment
  • A passion for Asian-inspired cuisine and contemporary dining experiences
  • Have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for delivering consistently exceptional experiences
  • Are flexible and ready to embrace the rhythm of hospitality (including evening and weekends)
