Laundry Supervisor

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all laundry activities, including washing, drying, pressing, folding, and delivery of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry.

• Ensure quality control and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

• Manage and train the laundry team to ensure smooth operations and adherence to standard operating procedures.

• Maintain inventory of linen, guest laundry, and cleaning supplies; coordinate timely ordering and stock rotation.

• Monitor the performance and maintenance of laundry equipment, reporting any faults promptly.

• Implement cost-control measures to reduce waste, optimize productivity, and manage utility consumption.

• Collaborate with the Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office teams to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and environmental standards.

• Support management in recruitment, performance appraisal, and staff development.

Qualifications

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the laundry department of a 5-star luxury hotel or resort.

• Strong technical knowledge of laundry operations, textile care, and equipment handling.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and guest satisfaction.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse team.

• Proficiency in English and/or French; additional languages will be an advantage.
