Member of Technical Staff, Forward-Deployed Engineering

As a Forward-Deployed Engineer at Quadrillion Labs, you'll represent our company in our work with our highly varied set of customers. This is not a traditional FDE role: we are looking for folks who combine enormous technical excellence with deep empathy and an ability to work with customers from a wide variety of verticals. You'll work closely with the core engineering and product teams to triage features and identify ways to improve customer outcomes.

What you'll do

• Deploy Qualia into customers' real environments. Stand up Qualia in unusual enterprise environments, connect to their unique data sources, and navigate their (both engineering and business) constraints.

• Build what customers need to succeed. Prototype integrations and workflows that answer customer needs, and transfer your learnings into production for all of our customers.

• Manage customer/product relations. Be the first line of defense for the company; speak to our customers in Slack, over email, and in person, and get them excited about using Qualia.

Required qualifications

• Strong full-stack or backend engineering experience, especially with Python

• Previous experience as a FDE or previous experience in a strongly customer-facing role

• Comfort working in unfamiliar codebases

• Ability to move quickly in a zero-to-one environment

We've raised ~$18M from Conviction, Audacious, Bloomberg Beta, ex/ante, and angels including Wes McKinney, the creator of pandas. We're ~10 people in NYC, scaling to ~15 in the coming months.
