Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – K–8 School-Based Position
Position Details
- Position: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist
- Grade Levels: Kindergarten–8th Grade
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
- Setting: Onsite
- School Year Dates: August 3, 2026 – June 4, 2027
Caseload & Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of approximately 45 students
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services in accordance with student IEPs and 504 Plans
- Deliver all required IEP and 504 service minutes
- Conduct evaluations and contribute to eligibility determinations as needed
- Attend IEP and 504 meetings as a related service provider
- Develop, write, and maintain all speech-language components of student IEPs and 504 Plans
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to support goal attainment
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary team members
Qualifications
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement required
- Current Illinois IDFPR licensure required
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Compensation & Benefits
