Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – K–8 School-Based Position

Position Details

• Position: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist
• Grade Levels: Kindergarten–8th Grade
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Onsite
• School Year Dates: August 3, 2026 – June 4, 2027

Caseload & Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 45 students
• Provide direct speech-language therapy services in accordance with student IEPs and 504 Plans
• Deliver all required IEP and 504 service minutes
• Conduct evaluations and contribute to eligibility determinations as needed
• Attend IEP and 504 meetings as a related service provider
• Develop, write, and maintain all speech-language components of student IEPs and 504 Plans
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to support goal attainment
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement required
• Current Illinois IDFPR licensure required
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
