Job Description

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Create a safety culture through productive and authorized operational systems/processes that allow all employees (including contracting partners) to provide their outputs in a risk-controlled environment.
  • Drive accountability by supporting commercial risk audits and following up on internal audit outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with delegation of authority levels on site and ensure implementation of financial standards
  • Act as on-site interface to external auditors and ensure follow up on all relevant external enquiries and outcomes.
  • Cascade site financial targets down to work areas on site, for consideration and approval by GM, incorporating group provided benchmarks and proposing appropriate level of stretch.
  • Drive the budgeting process on site, including site capital expenditure budget and plan, in continual alignment with SLT and Corporate.
  • Consolidate financial forecasts and business plans, identify forward looking risks and opportunities.
  • Review business case analysis and provide recommendations for expenditure.
  • Design, implement, and maintain financial reporting input on systems design to support operational needs.
  • Standardize financial performance reporting and ensure consistent implementation of processes across the operation in line with best practice.
  • Develop and implement financial projects aligned with operational and strategic objectives.
  • Produce monthly management reports highlighting key issues, value drivers, and trend analysis. (E.g. Processco, QPR)
  • Support budget owners to provide transparency on the financial impact of their decisions from a cost and capital efficiency perspective
  • Consolidate updated forecasts, including sensitivity analysis, and assess risks and opportunities impacting operational results.
  • Identify and evaluate the impact of operating anomalies, adverse financial trends, policy changes, and reporting requirements on financial results.
  • Maintain cost accounting standards for the operation.
  • Implement a purpose-driven, high-performing culture that is aligned with the company values, is inclusive and promotes diversity, supports engagement and fosters continuous improvement to work processes.

This role is at a Band 6 level reporting to the Senior Manager Commercial.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, management accounting
  • Relevant post graduate qualification in finance / financial management advantageous

Experience, technical knowledge and skills required:

  • 5 - 7 years industry relevant experience
  • Accounts Administration system
  • Capital management
  • Proficient knowledge of financial accounting and reporting
  • Advanced levels of proficiency in developing and implementing integrated commercial solutions to maximize value and ensure productivity
  • Advanced data analysis and management for decision-making.
  • Advanced management of work packages across a portfolio of project activities.
  • Proficient in financial systems and related legislation.
  • Advanced computer literacy for role including SAP.
  • Advanced in budgeting and forecasting
