Mainframe Senior Developer (Hybrid) | Manila

Work Setup: Hybrid (onsite 2-3x a week) in McKinley Hill, Taguig or Bridgetowne, QC
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with flexibility to adjust start time based on business needs
Target Start Date: ASAP
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in mainframe development at a similar capacity
- At least 3 years of prior experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM and CICS
- Strong knowledge in COBOL, Assembler, JCL, CICS, DB2, and other mainframe programming languages and tools
- Experience working with mainframe systems such as z/OS, IMS, and VSAM
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and enhance mainframe applications and systems using COBOL, Assembler, JCL, CICS, DB2, and other programming languages and tools
- Design and implement solutions that meet business requirements and technical specifications
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers
- Collaborate with other teams, including business analysts, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure successful project delivery
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
- Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in mainframe development
