Job Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial accounting operations of their Vietnam entity, supporting both office and manufacturing operations. The Finance Manager will lead key finance activities across accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, cash and bank, inventory, cost accounting, tax compliance, reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and audit coordination. This role will also support ERP process improvements, including Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial accounting operations for the Vietnam entity, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, bank and cash, inventory, and cost accounting.
- Lead month-end closing, trial balance review, reconciliations, and management reporting.
- Review financial statements, budget variance analysis, and reports prepared under VAS and IFRS.
- Manage tax compliance, including VAT, CIT, and FCT review and timely submission.
- Oversee manufacturing costing, inventory reporting, capex review, fixed assets, and expense validation.
- Prepare and review intercompany, related-party transaction, SBV, foreign loan, and management reports.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, legal advisors, tax authorities, and the State Bank of Vietnam.
- Supervise the local finance team, monitor KPIs, and support finance process improvements and ERP implementation.
- Partner with management on budgeting, internal controls, board reporting, and ad hoc business analysis.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance or Accountancy.
- Chief Accountant Certificate required.
- At least 10 years of accounting experience, including 5 years in a Chief Accountant or senior finance management role.
- Manufacturing industry experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of VAS, IFRS, Vietnam tax regulations, internal controls, and governance.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
- ERP experience preferred, especially Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Excellent communication skills in Vietnamese and English.
- Strong leadership, attention to detail, accountability, and compliance mindset.
