As an Outage Planner, you’ll support preparation and execution of detailed, logic linked plans that ensure outages run safely, on time, and to the highest standards. You’ll help protect generation output and support EDF’s journey towards An Electric Britain.

This is a fully on-site role based at #Heysham 1 power station, where you’ll work closely with engineers, team leaders, and outage specialists to deliver critical planning activities in a fast-paced operational environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing fully resourced, logic linked outage plans for designated plant areas
• Reviewing and improving plans using lessons learned from previous outages
• Monitoring outage progress and updating plans at defined intervals
• Identifying risks, constraints and conflicts and resolving issues or escalating where needed
• Managing changes to plans during preparation and execution phases

Who You Are

We’re looking for an Outage Planner with strong project planning experience and attention to detail, able to collaborate effectively in a high performing operational team. Are you experienced in…?

• A minimum of 2 years’ project planning or scheduling experience in a technical environment
• Using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for planning and scheduling activities
• Developing and managing logic linked project plans with resource allocation
• Working within an engineering or industrial environment in a regulated industry
• Holding an HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering or scientific discipline

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) Security Vetting, which will ordinarily require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

Pay, Benefits and Culture

We are offering a starting salary of between £47,513 and £84,595, with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. The starting salary for the appointment will be dependent on your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.
