Senior Material Engineer

Job Description

• Evaluate material suitability, conduct material selection and compatibility analysis for piping, pressure vessels, structural components and offshore facilities.
• Manage material technical review, witness factory acceptance test and on-site material quality verification.
• Analyze material failure, corrosion damage and abnormal quality issues, propose rectification and improvement solutions.
• Follow international industry standards, compile material technical specification, inspection standard and construction guidance document.
• Communicate and coordinate with clients, vendors, design institutes and construction teams to resolve on-site material technical problems.
• Track new material application and industry technical updates, optimize material usage plan to balance safety, cost and durability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering or related majors.
• Solid working experience in petrochemical and offshore oil & gas EPC projects, proficient in offshore facility material application scenarios.
• Familiar with relevant international codes, standards and material performance parameters.
• Capable of independent material technical assessment, problem diagnosis and scheme formulation.
• Good cross-department communication skill, able to work adaptively under project progress pressure.
• Basic English capability for technical document reading and business communication.
