Compliance Director & DPO

Serving clients in over 30 countries, we leverage advanced technologies, such as AI and analytics, to develop proprietary software and platforms that accelerate digital transformation and generate lasting value for businesses, society, and the broader economy.  As a Compliance Director & DPO, you will operate at senior leadership level, shaping Group-wide compliance, privacy, and AI governance strategy, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations including GDPR, AI Act, and other emerging frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and define the Group Compliance & Data Protection strategy across all entities.
• Act as trusted advisor to Board, Audit Committee, and Executive Management on compliance, privacy, and AI-related risks.
• Oversee implementation of EU AI Act, including classification, risk assessment, controls and monitoring of AI systems.
• Govern AI policies, standards, and procedures (AI governance framework, model validation, monitoring).
• Ensure integration of compliance into business strategy, product design and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strengthen second-line oversight across Risk, Internal Controls, Information Security and Governance functions.
• Fulfill DPO obligations at Group level ensuring independence.
• Oversee data protection strategy, DPIAs, FRIAs, TIAs, data governance, cross-border data flows and regulatory engagement.
• Lead regulatory interactions with Data Protection Authorities and other supervisory bodies.
• Drive compliance culture and accountability across business lines and subsidiaries.
• Contribute to the enhancements of GRC frameworks, risk appetite alignment, and compliance monitoring mechanisms.
• Lead large-scale regulatory and transformation programs (e.g., AI governance, data governance, Technology Law related frameworks).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Master Degree in AI or Law related to Technology;
• Understanding of operational and business demands in an international environment;
• 12+ years of experience in legal or compliance roles, preferably in technology-driven environments;
• Proven leadership at Director or equivalent level.
• Deep expertise in GDPR, AI Act, AML, technology regulation.
• Strong strategic, leadership and transformation capabilities.
• Fluency in English and Greek (written and spoken).
• Experience with ISO compliance standards, including (37001, 37301, 27701);
• Familiarity with GRC tools for compliance monitoring;
• Knowledge of the regulatory framework for publicly listed companies.
