Technical Lead

Quento Technologies S.A. seeks a highly motivated and experienced Technical Lead to act as the key liaison between Business and Technical teams and oversee the development team on a day-to-day basis. In this role, you will translate requirements into technically sound implementation tasks, guide developers, ensure code quality, and resolve delivery blockers efficiently within a regulated digital payments platform.

Your responsibilities will entail:

• Lead day-to-day technical delivery across microservices, APIs, integrations, and platform components;
• Translate business requirements, BRDs, user stories, and functional flows into technical tasks and implementation guidance;
• Act as the bridge between Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, QA, DevSecOps, and developers;
• Ensure development work aligns with architecture principles, integration patterns, security requirements, coding standards, and non-functional expectations;
• Guide design and implementation for REST APIs, event-driven flows, service integrations, data persistence, authentication/authorization, and error handling;
• Lead code reviews, technical design reviews, backlog refinement, sprint planning support, and technical issue resolution;
• Support defect triage, root cause analysis, performance investigation, incident support, and production readiness activities;
• Maintain technical documentation, API contracts, integration notes, and deployment dependencies;
• Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices, including automated testing, secure coding, maintainability, and observability;
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• Strong technical leadership experience in .NET, Java/Spring Boot or Quarkus, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native delivery;
• Experience with Kafka/event-driven systems, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, and integration-heavy platforms;
• Experience working with Azure DevOps, Kubernetes/AKS, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools;
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical tasks and guide implementation;
• Strong code review, design review, defect triage, root cause analysis, and technical problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication skills across business and engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in banking, payments, wallet platforms, PSD2, cards, SEPA, or merchant services;
• Familiarity with API security, OAuth2/OIDC, SCA, mTLS, SSL pinning, and secure coding practices;
• Experience mentoring distributed development teams.
