Seaborne Shipbrokers is a leading provider of client-focused Shipbroking services, offering expertise in Sale & Purchase, Newbuildings Contracting, Chartering, Financial Advisory, Research, and Valuations to Shipowners, Private and Public Equity investors, and Credit Institutions.

We are seeking an S&P Assistant to support our Sale & Purchase team, in Singapore, in day-to-day operations and post-fixture activities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for the maritime industry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily administrative and operational support to the S&P (Sale & Purchase) brokers, including preparing and managing relevant documentation
  • Coordinate post-fixture activities with proactiveness with regard to timely payments, document accuracy, and contractual compliance
  • Facilitate communication with shipowners, brokers, colleagues in other company offices, and external parties to ensure smooth S&P operations and promptly resolve any issues
  • Maintain accurate records by logging and updating S&P data in company databases and systems, including vessel details and other pertinent information 
  • Conduct research on vessels, markets, and industry trends to support the S&P team’s decision-making 
  • Collaborate with team members to promote a cohesive working environment and actively contribute to shared success
  • Undertake additional administrative tasks as requested to assist S&P brokers and meet evolving business needs

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Drive and self-motivation, with the desire and commitment to succeed, deliver excellence, and create positive change
  • Resilience, demonstrating the ability to persist and adapt
  • Effective relationship-building, with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to establish rapport quickly
