As the Group continues its dynamic growth and expansion into new business activities, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join the Legal team in Athens HQ, playing a key role in supporting strategic legal matters across the organization. The role will report to the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer, working closely on high-level strategic projects, critical commercial agreements, corporate initiatives, and other matters typically handled at senior leadership level, while also collaborating with the wider Legal & Compliance team and cross-functional stakeholders across the Group.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Support the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer in strategic Group initiatives and day-to-day legal operations
  • Provide legal support in corporate transformation projects, including M&As, restructurings, integrations, and business expansion initiatives
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage critical commercial and cross-border agreements
  • Advise operational functions (including procurement, logistics, sales, and other business units) on legal, commercial, and regulatory matters
  • Conduct legal risk assessments, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives and governance frameworks
  • Ensure proper legal documentation, compliance, and implementation of internal policies and procedures
  • Manage external legal advisors where appropriate, including coordination, budgeting, and performance monitoring

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Greek Law; Master’s degree is required
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience, preferably including in-house counsel experience
  • Strong background in commercial contracts, corporate law, and project-based legal work
  • Experience supporting senior management and operational functions within a multinational or large corporate environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural, and cross-functional environment
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to provide practical and strategic legal advice
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office and legal research tools
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages will be considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail and strong sense of accountability
  • Agile mindset with the ability to respond effectively to evolving business and legal needs
  • Sound understanding of corporate structures, governance, policies, and compliance frameworks
  • Team-oriented approach combined with strong business acumen and ownership mentality
