We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Buyer to join our Global Procurement team at Sunlight’s Athens premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing purchasing activities in line with the company’s procurement policies and procedures. This role plays a key part in managing supplier relationships, securing competitive pricing, and ensuring accurate and timely data entry into SAP.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Conduct supplier market research and benchmarking to support strategic decision-making.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing and value creation.
- Analyze quotations, cost breakdowns, and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Accurately enter and maintain pricing and contract terms in SAP to ensure data integrity and availability for purchasing decisions.
- Create spend analysis reports, preparing key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards (e.g., cost savings, DPOs, suppliers’ evaluation, lead time) and maintaining alignment with global procurement metrics.
- Prepare, review, and process procurement documentation in accordance with internal policies and compliance requirements.
- Draft, review, and finalize supplier contracts, ensuring legal and procedural compliance while protecting company interests.
- Maintain positive working relationships with suppliers, monitoring performance and resolving any issues related to pricing, delayed supply and/or improper quality of the incoming materials.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including R&D, Product Management, and operational departments to align procurement activities with business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- 2-4 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Fluency in Greek & English (both verbal & written) is a must, German will be considered as an asset.
- ERP experience, especially SAP will be considered as an asset.
- Excellent command of MS Office.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management across cultures and departments.
- Analytical thinking with problem solving abilities.
- Results oriented and attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Team spirit work and adaptability.
