Marketing Director - Visual Media (1)

The Marketing Director - Visual Media is responsible for creating engaging short-form video content for the marketing platforms and communications of CUS Equity & Inclusion by highlighting information regarding Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion-based initiatives within UBC and Sauder. 

5-8 hours per week

June 2026 - April 2027

Manage CUS Equity & Inclusion’s social media platforms. 

Create and publish short-form videos for events and initiatives. 

Reporting to and working with the Equity Advisors on all assigned work. 

Assisting in the creation of a newsletter for the commission. 

Provide assistance at BizWeek and all E&I events. 

Attend weekly team meetings.

UBC Sauder Undergraduate student. 

Proficient with the management of social media platforms. 

Familiarity with CapCut, FinalCut Pro, or equivalent. 

Committed to advocating for inclusivity and belonging at UBC Sauder. 

A strong desire to learn from diverse perspectives.

Able to work independently (with guidance).

The Marketing Director - Visual Media will have the opportunity to acquire marketing and video creation, public speaking, and community building skills by creating effective promotional campaigns and communicating with various stakeholders and diverse groups. As members of the equity commission, you will also be able to meet and develop connections with professionals working in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. You will also be given the chance to communicate with a diverse group of individuals. In addition, you will have the opportunity to use and develop skills in (but not limited to) the following areas: 

Video Creation and Marketing Skills 

Community Building and Student Advocacy 

Independent and Collaborative Work 

Understanding of Social Justice and EDI Principles
