VP Marketing

The VP Marketing is responsible for planning and executing different marketing operations both in-person and digital for COSAS. They are in charge of managing all of COSAS’s media channels and executing marketing strategies to increase COSAS's brand awareness and social media presence.

Regular: 1-2 hours/week | Peak periods: 4 hours/week leading up to events

● Brainstorm, plan and execute marketing strategies to increase COSAS’s brand awareness as well as student reach and interaction.

● Manage and grow COSAS’s digital presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.

● Draft and design social media posts, captions, graphics, and newsletter updates.

● Collaborate with internal teams and liaise with organizations such as the CUS and BCC to cross-promote events and initiatives.

● Support in-person event marketing through promotional materials, photography/videography, and live event coverage.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Creative with an eye for design

● Studying marketing or having a passion for marketing

● Familiarity with Instagram, LinkedIn, and other marketing channels

● Experience with technical tools like Canva, Figma, or similar designing applications is an asset

The VP Marketing will be able to gain relevant marketing experience such as copywriting, branding, and social media management. In addition, incumbents will have opportunities to use and develop skills in (but not limited to) the following areas:

 

● Experience in coordinating social media and marketing campaigns

● Content creation and marketing strategy management
