VP Events

The VP Events are responsible for brainstorming and executing projects and events to provide exceptional experiences for Sauder Co-op students. The VP Events will have the opportunity to plan and execute two or more projects during their time in this role.

Regular: 1-3 hours/week | Peak periods: 5 hours/week leading up to events

May 2026 - April 2027

● Brainstorm, initiate, and manage the logistics of projects that enhance COSAS’ presence.

● Reach out and engage with community partners and stakeholders.

● Identify new areas of opportunity for co-op student engagement and help execute initiatives.

● Liaise with other directors, such as marketing, finance, and external, to ensure the smooth execution of each event.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask

● Ability to manage and solve problems and conflicts effectively

● Creative, with a clear vision to improve the UBC Sauder Co-op student experience

● Passion to help others and meeting new people

● Project management or event organizing experience is an asset 

As VP Events, you will gain hands-on experience in event planning, sales, and project management, while building meaningful business connections. You will also develop skills in:

 

● Effectively planning and executing projects

● Analytical and problem-solving skills

● Logistical skills
