The Sauder Sports VP Finance is responsible for creating, consolidating, and managing the Service Budget for the upcoming fiscal year as well as reimbursement procedures, contracts and administrative duties for the service.

 
### Time Commitment

Summer: 2 hours per week 

Winter Session: 4-6 hours per week, 6-8 hours during peak times

### Term of Employment
May 2026 - March 2027
### Main Responsibilities
● Attend all meetings.
● Collaborate with the Chairs in preparing and managing the allocated budget.
● Prepare and present the budget to the Budget Development Committee and understanding the Service’s financial needs inside out.
● Serve as the primary point of contact between the CUS Finance Commission and the Service as well as any monetary related inquiries from the Service’s team.
● Manage, file, and consolidate reimbursements for budgeted service expenses.
● Work closely with the respective Financial Analyst to ensure CUS Financial Policy compliance as well as understanding the granular details of reimbursements, contracts, and invoices.
● Track actual expenditures and communicate budgetary concerns as they arise
● Work closely with the Service Corporate Relations portfolio to seek additional financial support and monetary sponsorships from firms and businesses.
● Participate in Sauder Sports events to demonstrate a genuine interest in student health and wellness.
### Qualifications
● Previous budgeting and administrative experience is an asset
● Knowledge of the AMS and CUS financial system and infrastructure is an asset
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office (ie. Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) is a must
● Able to recommend creative approaches to reduce expenses
● Strong organizational and time management skills with an exemplary attention to detail
● A passion for fitness and athletics
