The Sauder Sports VP External will be in charge of contacting and securing sponsorships. The position is integral in forming and maintaining external relationships that will enhance our events.

### Time Commitment

Summer: 2 hours per week
Winter Session: 3-5 hours per week, 7 hours during peak times

### Term of Employment

May 2026 - March 2027

### Main Responsibilities

● Attending all meetings.

● Communicating with businesses to negotiate sponsorships.
● Reaching out to other UBC clubs and service for event partnerships.
● Creating thorough and professional sponsorship proposals (packages, emails).
● Working with the VP Marketing to create and implement effective.
marketing strategies and campaigns for potential sponsors.
● Working with the VP Finance to construct a program specific budget, as well as coordinate reimbursements for prizes.
● Participate in Sauder Sports events and demonstrate a genuine interest in student health and wellness.

● Helping event coordinators with the booking process for sports equipment and venues.

### Qualifications

● Previous experience in seeking sponsorships is an asset
● Professional written and oral communication skills
● High attention to detail
● Proactive and efficient when building partnerships
● Responsible, reliable and driven
● A passion for fitness and athletics, and contagious Sauder Spirit
