Second semester (prior to Commerce Night): 12-15 hours/week

Work closely with the Logistics team to oversee production of promotional material and invitations for Commerce Night.
Design, edit, and create all graphical, visual, and short-form content for Commerce Night marketing campaigns (awards nomination promotions, ticket sales, and gala details).
Maintain and update social media platforms, namely Instagram and LinkedIn, and write engaging captions to drive audience engagement.
Develop a cohesive brand guide and content calendar for Commerce Night, including visual direction for both general promotions and post-theme reveal content.
Design and produce team merchandise and stickers aligned with the Commerce Night brand.
Assist with the overall planning and execution of the Group & Individual Awards Information Session and the Commerce Night Gala alongside the team
Mentor 2 Marketing Associates, who will be hired in the fall
Intrinsically motivated and good time management skills.
High understanding of effective and cohesive social media marketing strategies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for captions and promotional messaging.
Ability to create engaging, cohesive brand-aligned content.
Strong graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma) skills, illustration skills, and/or short-form video editing skills.
Experience managing social media accounts and content planning for a project or organization will be considered an asset.
Build a diverse design portfolio including branding, merchandise, print materials, and social media content.
Gain experience building a cohesive brand and visual identity for a large-scale event.
Assist in increasing transparency regarding the awards selection process by communicating with the broader Sauder community.
Experience in leading marketing campaigns for a large-scale event for a 450+ attendee event.
Gain experience promoting and supporting the awards process, including contributing input on evaluation criteria and helping ensure a fair and transparent selection process
