The VP Logistics oversees and executes the planning, logistics, and execution of Pride’s events throughout the year. As events are at the core of our service, the VP Logistics will work closely with the Chair and VP Finance to host events that welcome queer business students as well as create a community. The VP Logistics will manage external relations, such as sponsorships and community partners, internal event logistics, and detailed planning and scheduling/delegation.

### Time Commitment
Summer: 3-5 hours per week | School year: 5-7 hours per week
### Main Responsibilities
  • Work with the Chair to plan and execute various events throughout the year. The VP Logistics will be expected and encouraged to share their opinions on how to improve events throughout the year
  • Coordinate speakers / panelists for the appropriate events
  • Collaborate with the VP Finance to ensure that all purchases follow the budget and will create value for the service’s events
  • Contribute to team meetings and events, helping to fill in where needed

  • ### Anticipated Learning Outcomes

    VP Logistics should be able to develop their communication skills throughout their term. They will also be able to meet and develop connections with business professionals. In addition, incumbents will have opportunities to use and develop skills in (but not limited to) the following areas:

    • Event planning and logistics management
    • Budget management and strategic purchasing
    • Problem-solving and organizational skills
    • Effective communication and leadership within a team setting
    • Advocacy and promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusivity initiatives within the community
