The marketing team will raise awareness for CUS Pride, which includes creating social media posts and content for events, liaising with CUSunday and CUS Marketing, and exploring other channels for spreading awareness. The VP Graphic Design will focus on creating graphics, while the VP Visual Media will focus on video and reel content.

### Time Commitment
Summer: 3-5 hours per week | School year: 5-7 hours per week
### Main Responsibilities
  • Generating social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc...) content to raise awareness of the service, as well as share information regarding events and opportunities
  • The marketing team will also liaise internally to explore the best channels for generating awareness of the service/events (CUSunday, CUS Instagram, quad screens and displays in HA, etc...)
  • Contribute to team meetings and events, helping to fill in where needed
  • ### Qualifications
  • Prior experience with Canva, Photoshop, InDesign 
  • Experience with social media content creation
  • Willingness to explore other channels of marketing
  • Passionate about advocating for the queer community at Sauder
  • Actively engages in promoting diversity, equity, inclusivity, and community engagement
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • ### Anticipated Learning Outcomes

    VP Graphic Design should be able to develop their communication skills throughout their term. As the marketing team, members will also be able to meet and develop connections with business professionals. In addition, incumbents will have opportunities to use and develop skills in (but not limited to) the following areas:

    • Social media content creation and management
    • Graphic design and use of tools like Canva, Photoshop, and InDesign
    • Strategic marketing and awareness-raising techniques
    • Effective communication and organizational skills
    • Problem-solving and innovative thinking in marketing strategies
    • Advocacy and promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusivity initiatives within the community
