From fully paid medical premiums for employees, to a generous PTO policy, 401(k) and ESOP retirement benefits, we offer a total rewards package that reflects the pride and ownership we bring to every project.

As a Field Engineer, you’ll support jobsite operations by partnering closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with a high level of quality. This is a field-focused, developmental role designed to build the knowledge and experience needed to grow into future construction leadership.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in scheduling, coordination, safety, quality, and site logistics while working directly with crews, subcontractors, and project teams from project start-up through closeout.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in developing and managing look-ahead schedules using tools like P6 or MS Project
  • Identify and help resolve field issues in real time to maintain project momentum
  • Support site logistics planning, including access, staging, and resource coordination
  • Participate in safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and daily site safety efforts
  • Assist with inspections, testing, and quality control processes to ensure compliance
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to project progress, safety, and quality
  • Support labor tracking, productivity monitoring, and cost awareness in the field
  • Attend project and coordination meetings with internal teams and trade partners

Why You’ll Be Successful

You’re hands-on, detail-oriented, and take pride in being in the field. You communicate clearly, take initiative, and are eager to learn from experienced leaders while contributing to a high-performing team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or a construction certificate program with equivalent field experience
  • Ability to work full-time in a field-based construction environment
  • Working knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and jobsite safety practices
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, and field crews
  • Willingness to learn scheduling, logistics planning, and field coordination responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of construction experience (internships or field experience encouraged)
  • OSHA 30 certification and/or First Aid/CPR certification
  • Experience with construction software such as Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, or VDC tools
  • Exposure to lean construction practices, pull planning, or last planner systems
  • Experience supporting field operations, site logistics, or subcontractor coordination
