About this role

Job Description

  • Lead and develop a cross‑shift manufacturing team to consistently meet or exceed production, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Drive daily operations by reinforcing company policies, safety standards, work instructions, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Maximize equipment utilization, product yields, and on‑time delivery through effective planning and real‑time problem solving.
  • Communicate clearly through pre‑shift meetings, coaching sessions, and one‑on‑one discussions to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
  • Coordinate production schedules with leadership and support teams to optimize workflow, reduce costs, and improve product reliability.
  • Train, coach, evaluate, and document teammate performance while maintaining fair task assignments and promoting skill development.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to monitor safety, quality, adherence to standard work, and overall team engagement.
  • Track shift performance metrics and develop short‑ and long‑term action plans to improve productivity, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with engineering and maintenance to identify and resolve processing issues, ensuring smooth and reliable operations.
  • Maintain accurate production, time, and cost records and prepare reports to support operational decision‑making.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree or equivalent experience preferred, along with 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach performance, lead by example, and work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication, business writing, presentation, and problem‑solving abilities, including the skill to translate complex technical or business information for various audiences.
  • Proficient in MS Office with general computer literacy; SAP experience and bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated safety awareness, sound decision‑making, and understanding of customer, competitor, and supplier relationships.
