What You'll Be Doing
- Scale loose rock from underground mine walls and ceilings to maintain safe working conditions
- Operate scaling equipment and tools safely and efficiently in confined spaces
- Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify and address potential hazards
- Perform basic equipment checks and communicate maintenance needs
- Collaborate with team members to support safe and productive quarry operations
What Are We Looking For
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively in underground environments
- Strong safety mindset with the capability to recognize and mitigate hazards
- Ability to follow procedures, communicate clearly, and work as part of a team
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort performing basic equipment inspections
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently in physically demanding conditions
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level
What We Offer
- $28.76 per hour plus an additional $0.50 per hour underground rate
