Backed by an experienced group of finance personnel, you will be involved in Continuous Improvement Projects, leveraging new and emerging technologies and automation to drive operational and cost efficiencies. This role offers a chance to progressively increase your expertise and expand the scope of activities.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
- Take responsibility for monthly account reconciliations and reporting, ensuring timely completion and strict adherence to all corporate standards and guidelines.
- Investigate and identify un-reconciled items, working closely with respective teams to ensure discrepancies are owned and cleared within established aging KPIs, and long-aged items are escalated according to guidelines.
- Take ownership of bank revaluations and the preparation of manual journal entries, applying the correct double-entry and ensuring all journal postings are backed by supporting documentation
- Actively identify opportunities to streamline service delivery and participate in special projects by providing system feedback, conducting user testing, and updating process documentation.
- Support internal and external audit requests by preparing supporting documentation and responding to inquiries.
Are you a MATCH?
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting experience, with a strong focus on bank reconciliations and general ledger operations.
- Proven experience operating effectively within a Shared Service Centre or Global Business Service (GBS) organization.
- Working knowledge of major ERP systems; prior hands-on experience with Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), and/or Cadency is highly advantageous.
Competencies
- Highly independent, self-motivated, and capable of taking ownership of daily workloads with minimal managerial oversight.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes (PTP, O2C, RTR) and the underlying mechanics of double-entry bookkeeping.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately read bank statements and resolve complex discrepancies.
