Steward

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Steward to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a smooth operation and exceptional guest experience.

• Inspect, clean, and properly store kitchen equipment, utensils, and dinnerware
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, ensuring appropriate water temperature and chemical levels
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and materials as needed
• Assist in the proper disposal of waste and recycling
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during meal service
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including floors, walls, and storage spaces
• Assist in inventory management of kitchen supplies and equipment
• Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices
• Support other departments as needed during peak periods

Qualifications

• Minimum of a primary school diploma
• At least a year or  of related work experience or 1 year in a similar role
• Advanced knowledge of standard work routines and general kitchen rules
• Proven ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
• Strong physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
• Excellent hygiene practices and understanding of cleanliness standards
• Basic math skills for measuring cleaning solutions accurately
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing excellent service
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies
