**Recruitment range is $43,267 - $67,606**
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including health insurance, as well as retirement.

The Guilford County NCWorks Career Center provides a full range of services to diverse categories of job seekers and employers to meet their employment and placement needs through assessment and development of job requirements; evaluation of experiences, skills and abilities; referral to jobs, job training programs, or other placement services.
This position will serve as the Assistant Manager for the DWS in the High Point NCWorks Career Center. The individual will be a working supervisor. It will manage, coordinate, and supervise the daily operations of the Career Center. it will supervise a diverse team of workforce professionals, including a staff of 4- 6 DWS employees. The position will provide direct supervision of Center staff engaged in the provision of employment services, job training, limited unemployment insurance services, and labor market information services to customers seeking work and employers seeking workers in Guilford County. It will interact closely with workforce partners in an Integrated Services Delivery (ISD) environment to ensure the appropriate delivery of services to all customers. The position requires a high level of organizational skills and will be responsible for budgeting staff, training new employees, and reviewing work of staff. It may be asked to travel as requested based upon business need. The work is performed under the supervision of the DWS Center Manager in the High Point NCWorks Career Center.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in public or private employment service-related work including experience in a lead, coaching, or mentoring capacity including one year in a supervisory or lead capacity; or
Associate degree and five years of experience in public or private employment service-related work including experience in a lead, coaching, or mentoring capacity including one year in a supervisory or lead capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
