As an AI Engineer, you will work as part of a team to develop and support AI services across the delivery lifecycle. You will contribute to the implementation, testing, integration, and operational support of AI model serving solutions, while growing your technical and business knowledge through collaboration with more senior engineers and cross-functional teams. This role is designed for engineers at an early stage of their career who are building the foundations required to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable AI services.
Responsibilities
As an AI Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, testing, and integration of AI model serving solutions and backend services.
- Contributing to the implementation of service components, APIs, and deployment configurations that meet business and product requirements.
- Assisting in validation, troubleshooting, and performance testing activities for AI services in development and production-like environments.
- Documenting and communicating technical results, implementation details, and operational information for assigned tasks and projects.
- Preparing technical documentation consistent with engineering policies and procedures, including service documentation, integration notes, and support materials.
- Participating in team discussions, design reviews, and engineering ceremonies to support delivery quality and continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with Platform & MLOps, Reliability & Support, Security, Data, and Product teams to support successful delivery of AI services.
- Supporting monitoring, incident analysis, and issue resolution through immediate action or short-term planning, with guidance when needed.
- Sharing engineering information and promoting open dialogue across the team.
- Ensuring proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and tasks.
Fuel Your Passion
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
- Early experience in software engineering, backend development, or AI-enabled applications, including internships, academic projects, or initial industry experience.
- Working knowledge of Python or a similar backend programming language.
- Basic understanding of API development, service integration, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with containers, cloud platforms such as AWS, and modern development workflows is a plus.
- Awareness of CI/CD practices, version control, and testing approaches for software delivery.
- Ability to apply engineering concepts to issues of moderate complexity and resolve them with support from more senior engineers.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information to internal stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset, learning agility, and a strong willingness to grow technical and business competencies in an enterprise AI environment.
Experience with AI/ML inference services, Generative AI applications, FastAPI, Docker, or cloud-native backend architectures is an advantage.
