What you’ll be working on

We're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer, to help manage our network and IT infrastructure across multiple sites and cloud platforms.

We’re a dynamic engineering technology company with plenty of opportunities to take the initiative in a highly technical environment.

The role is multifaceted: around one-third to one-half of your time will involve working with our software, hardware and test engineering teams to help them deliver our awesome products; the balance will be project work in delivering the infrastructure that powers Audinate’s services and improving the flexibility and performance of our workloads.

### You will
  • Assist in maintaining our infrastructure and services
  • Contribute to the architecture and design process for our corporate and production systems
  • Implement, test and deploy smaller and/or more self-contained development and production infrastructure and services
  • Resource monitoring, detecting and troubleshooting issues
  • Creating and developing documentation
  • Interface with internal Engineering and Operations teams and provide infrastructure support
  • ### What we're looking for

You're a confident all-rounder with strengths in many of the skills listed below. Your skills and expertise may have been acquired through formal or self-education. On the systems front you know Linux servers well, have a good handle on containerisation and networking, and a drive to consistently learn more.

You’ll have 2+ years of consistent growth across the following:

  • Solid foundational networking knowledge with experience with LAN and WAN infrastructure including switching, routing, VPNs, VPCs TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP services
  • Linux systems administration and application layer services management experience (OS through to web and database services)
  • Strong skills and experience with container management and orchestration with tools like Docker, Podman, compose, Swarm, Kubernetes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and experience with tools like Ansible, Ansible AWX/SemaphoreUI, Terraform/OpenTofu
  • Experience managing automation process in CI/CD environments like Jenkins and Bitbucket pipelines
  • Strong skills in Python, Go, or Bash for automation
  • Experience with Observability & Monitoring tools covering logging, metrics, and tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to provide visibility into system health and performance.
  • Hyperscale cloud operations, preferably with AWS (certification nice but by no means required – practical skills are far more highly valued)
  • Familiarity with cloud best practices, e.g. AWS Well Architected Framework
  •
  • A "systems-thinking" approach to troubleshooting complex, distributed environments.
  • Graceful under fire – able to stay calm and focused under pressure
  • Interpersonal skills as this role requires engaging with developers, engineers, business, operations and partners globally.
  • Ability to write clear documentation guides and diagrams so platforms are easier to navigate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a growing and dynamic team
  • Agile: flexible, open to change and striving for continuous improvement
  • If you're a SRE or Infrastructure Engineer looking for an opportunity to make a difference we may be on the same wavelength.
