In addition to a competitive salary, annual bonus and equity incentive plan you’ll be part of our diverse, values-based culture. You’ll also enjoy a range of benefits such as flexible working (3 days per week in office), home office support, and volunteering leave.

What you’ll be working on

You will lead Audinate's Data and Insights function and transform what we know about our operations, markets, products, and customers into the decisions that grow the business. You'll build a durable data platform foundation that compounds success over time.

Data and Insights is a new function and you'll make the foundational decisions on the data platform, and engage closely with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Strategy - synthesising what matters across them and bringing credible ideas for how data can be applied to the questions that drive growth.

### You will
  • Set and own the direction of Audinate's Data and Insights function in line with our commercial priorities, bringing forward credible ideas for how data can be applied to advance these goals.
  • Partner with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Strategy to surface the evidence that will help make decisions that drive growth.
  • Establish a recurring cadence of reporting that the ELT and Board use for planning.
  • Make the foundational decisions on data warehouse, modelling layer, and visualisation tooling, choosing for outcomes rather than stack fashion.
  • Lead a small team with a product-team operating mode: engineering discipline, durable outputs, internal customers, and a strong sense of ownership over what you ship.
  • Establish governance and quality standards across datasets used by the business.
  • Grow strong collaborative partnerships with functions that own datasets such as Business Systems, and Finance.
  • Lift the analytical capability of the business - building the modelled data surfaces that let business units independently meet their daily operational needs, and augment with centralized data science capability for more detailed exploratory work to unlock critical business insights.
  • Carry analysis through to the decisions it informs - making clear to the relevant operational leader the commercial implications of the analysis and, where sufficient ongoing commercial need exists, working with the relevant operational leader to deliver appropriate dashboards or BI surfaces to help operationalize those insights.
  • ### What we're looking for
  • Experience leading a BI, analytics, or data science function and team in a growing tech business
  • Experience setting direction in an analytics function: engaging with commercial leaders to understand what matters, and proactively bringing credible, data-grounded ideas in response.
  • Practical experience building a data foundation and owning the reporting stack it supports - making defensible decisions on warehouse (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks), modelling layer (e.g. dbt), and visualisation tooling, and choosing for the durable reports, dashboards, and analytics cadences the business depends on.
  • Comfortable reviewing your team's work and giving technical direction across key technologies such as Python, SQL, and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB).
  • Evidence of creating a well-governed data platform that is in regular use by varied business functions in a self-service mode, demonstrating data quality, availability, and fit for purpose.
  • Experience sourcing data from business platforms such as CRMs and accounting systems
  • Working knowledge of modern analytics engineering practice - version control, peer review, testing, and documentation as part of the analytics workflow.
  • Credible communicator at the executive level on the commercial picture, and with engineers on the technical underpinnings.
  • A product-team operating mindset - your work has internal customers, your outputs are durable, and you measure success by the decisions they enable.
  • ### Nice to have for this role
  • Familiarity with the pro-AV industry.
  • Experience inside a hardware-software business with an OEM channel.
  • Experience integrating AI-assisted analytics tooling into a data function's day-to-day operating mode.
  • If you're an experienced Data Science or Analytics Manager looking for an opportunity to make a difference we may be on the same wavelength.
