Job Description
We are looking for a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst to join a growing Cybersecurity team focused on protecting sensitive information, strengthening data protection controls, and enhancing security monitoring capabilities across multiple business environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and investigate alerts generated by Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools, following established operational procedures and predefined criteria (Level 1 analysis).
- Review daily DLP events and escalate potential incidents to Level 2 teams when deeper investigation is required.
- Perform advanced investigations to validate and assess potential data leakage incidents.
- Analyze recurring security events and identify opportunities to improve monitoring effectiveness and reduce false positives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to review detection rules, investigate anomaly trends, and optimize alerting capabilities.
- Recommend best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of data protection controls and DLP detection strategies.
- Support the testing, implementation, and validation of new DLP policies and monitoring rules.
- Coordinate regular reviews of security policies, procedures, and approved practices.
- Monitor operational KPIs, ensuring adherence to processes and effective backlog management across supported entities.
- Produce periodic reporting and dashboards, providing visibility on DLP performance, incident trends, and compliance metrics.
- Support the onboarding of new business entities, teams, or environments into the DLP monitoring platform.
Required Languages

Nice to Have
- Previous experience in Cybersecurity Operations, Security Monitoring, SOC, or Data Protection functions.
- Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention technologies and information security principles.
- Familiarity with incident investigation and risk management processes.
- Experience working in multinational or highly regulated environments.
Additional Information
- Availability to travel within Portugal.
- Availability to travel internationally as required.
