Job Description

The Payments and Settlements Officer is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, including payments, fund transfers, settlements, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial instruments, settlement cycles, and regulatory requirements within the asset management industry. This role involves working closely with internal teams, custodians, financial institutions, and counterparties to maintain efficient cash flow management while ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational guidelines. This position requires expertise in payment execution, fund transfers, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance, ensuring seamless financial operations and mitigating risks in transactions.

Qualifications

• First Degree in any related discipline
• 1-2 years post-NYSC experience 
• Experience in a financial services is an added advantage
• Experience in payments, settlements, or financial operations within the asset management or banking sector. Knowledge of relevant industry sector; Financial Reporting; Audit; Advanced and Basic Microsoft office skills
