The Opportunity
Do you want to help develop and streamline our logistics operations in a dynamic industrial environment? We are looking for a business-driven Logistics Manager in Smedjebacken with overall responsibility for the flow from supplier, via 3PL (third-party logistics/external warehouse), to internal handling and delivery.
You will lead the logistics function and be responsible for collaboration with external logistics partners, as well as optimizing inbound flows before goods receiving. The team currently consists of 10 employees, but it will need to grow in the future. The role includes both operational and strategic responsibilities.
How you'll make an impact
Lead the internal and external logistics function, including warehousing and transport, ensuring smooth daily operations and strong coordination between all involved stakeholders.
Be responsible for 3PL and external warehouse flows, securing effective collaboration with logistics partners and consistent performance against agreed targets.
Ensure efficient flow to goods receiving by maintaining a stable inbound process and proactively addressing potential bottlenecks.
Optimize costs and delivery precision by continuously balancing efficiency improvements with high service levels and reliable delivery performance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and KPIs by following up on performance metrics and implementing structured improvement activities.
Ensure a safe work environment and team development by promoting a strong safety culture while supporting the growth and engagement of your team.
Your Background
Relevant university degree and at least 10 years of experience in a similar role
Experience in implementing Lean transformations within logistics and production
Strong leadership skills in change management
Experience with automated transport systems such as AGVs, AGCs, and autonomous forklifts/stackers
Experience with 3PL and business systems such as SAP is considered an advantage
Strong knowledge of supply chain management
Excellent strategic planning, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken is required
