Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer /Commissioning Engineering in Ireland. You will join the existing team in delivering Installation commissioning, maintenance & repair services to Hitachi Energy Industrial & Utility customers throughout Ireland & Northern Ireland.
Location: Ireland (Remote), travel as required
How you'll make an impact:
- Plan, prepare and coordinate pre-commissioning/commissioning/start-up activities leading to project completion.
- Develop and ensure adherence to a detailed commissioning schedule and plan, covering all aspects of pre-commissioning and start-up phases through to handover.
- Prepare and/or update a comprehensive commissioning manual. Develop a reporting structure and accountabilities for the commissioning team.
- Plan and coordinate the commissioning/start up schedule and necessary work with third party providers. Develop pre-commissioning test procedures and documentation. Correct any deficiencies found. Ensure compliance and progress reports are produced in accordance with client and legislative requirements.
- Liaise with government agencies where required to obtain necessary approvals prior to start-up. Prepare client acceptance forms and ensure satisfactory sign-off is obtained.
- Develop comprehensive quality, environment and safety commissioning plans. An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
Your Background:
- Electrician with proven experience in HV power systems
- Electrical Substation experience
- Relay programming
- Experience of 38/110/220kV Equipment.
- Strong background in the power sector service & maintenance
- Experience in delivering technical reports and fault analysis. Maintain Maintenance Management System, complete all customer fault reports & commissioning documentation where required in a timely manner.
- An ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative
- Promote good relations and synergy both internally and externally.
- Degree or relevant technical qualification preferred
- Knowledge of electrical industry.
- Knowledge of Power Grids offerings of products and services.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
- Ability to prioritize among competing tasks
- Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
- Ability to delegate to as well as motivate a team, in executing tasks to deadline
- Clean full driving licence
