As a Tendering Technical Leader, you will act as a technical authority and expert professional, leading engineering activities for complex projects and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective and safe technical solutions.

You will play a key role across the full project lifecycle, from engineering development to execution support, customer interaction and technical leadership, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

The role is a technical authority and senior advisor for complex and high-impact tenders, providing deep engineering expertise to support the bid and sales organization.

In this role you will leverage your extensive technical experience to advise, challenge, validate and optimize technical solutions, ensuring robust, competitive and technically sound offers for complex substation and power system projects.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Act as technical responsible and advisor for complex tenders, supporting the bid and sales teams with expert engineering judgement.
  • Provide technical guidance to the tender organization, ensuring feasibility, robustness and competitiveness of proposed solutions.
  • Take ownership of the technical definition of complex offers, acting as reference point for high-risk or high-complexity bids.
  • Lead technical interface with factories and suppliers, validating technical requirements, challenging specifications when needed and enabling commercial competitiveness.
  • Manage the technical evaluation of supplier proposals, ensuring compliance with requirements and supporting negotiations to optimize cost and value.
  • Advise the tender team on power system solutions, including substation systems, control and protection, power quality and grid integration aspects.
  • Identify technical risks and opportunities in complex offers and support mitigation strategies during the tender phase.
  • Support sales and tender managers during customer technical discussions and clarifications.
  • Ensure alignment between customer requirements, internal technical standards and supplier capabilities.
  • Act as a trusted technical reference, sharing knowledge and supporting decision-making across the offer organization.

Your background

  • Minimum 15 years of experience as a senior engineer or technical expert within power systems, substations or grid integration projects.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Strong background in Electrical Engineering, with deep knowledge of:
    • Substation systems
    • Control and protection systems
    • Power systems and power quality
  • Proven experience acting as technical advisor or authority for complex projects or tenders.
  • Solid exposure to supplier and factory technical management, including technical validation and cost-driven discussions.
  • Experience in complex, multidisciplinary and high-value offers.
  • Comfortable working in a role focused on advisory, validation and optimization.
  • High level of autonomy, credibility and professional seniority to influence decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across sales, engineering, supply chain and suppliers.
