The opportunity:
Join a team that builds software for the future of industrial automation and high-voltage equipment monitoring. Our work supports reliable power systems, safer operations, and smarter maintenance decisions. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team that combines software development, automation technology, domain knowledge, and data-driven innovation. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and integrate software solutions for process automation and digital monitoring platforms. You will work on real engineering challenges. You will contribute to scalable applications, configuration tools, device integration, test automation, and intelligent monitoring features. You will collaborate with product owners, domain experts, quality teams, and global engineering stakeholders. To excel in this role, you need strong software engineering fundamentals. You should enjoy solving complex problems. You should write clean, maintainable, and reliable code. You should be comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle. You should also be open to learning industrial protocols, automation systems, high-voltage products, and modern digital technologies. This role offers strong learning and growth opportunities. You will gain exposure to condition monitoring, industrial IoT, edge and cloud connectivity, data analytics, and machine learning concepts. You will strengthen your understanding of high-voltage products such as circuit breakers, disconnectors, modular switchgear, gas compartments, and monitoring sensors. You will also grow as a technical leader by owning key deliverables, improving engineering practices, and mentoring others. This is an opportunity to make a visible impact. Your work will help improve asset reliability, reduce maintenance effort, and support better operational decisions for customers.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for process automation and industrial systems.
- Lead the implementation of robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
- Contribute to software architecture, system design, and technical solution decisions aligned with product and business requirements.
- Develop and integrate data-driven features, including machine learning-enabled functions where applicable.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, product management, and domain experts to ensure effective solution delivery.
- Own complex development tasks across requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
- Apply software quality practices such as code reviews, debugging, automated testing, and technical documentation.
- Support software integration with industrial devices, IoT systems, and automation communication layers.
- Mentor junior team members, share technical knowledge, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines, while upholding safety and integrity in daily work.
Your background:
- B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; M.E. or M.Tech is preferred.
- 8–10 years of relevant software development experience, preferably in process automation, industrial automation, or adjacent technology environments.
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented software development.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle practices, requirements engineering, coding standards, version control, and agile methodologies.
- Good command of software architecture, design patterns, scalability, modularity, and maintainability principles.
- Good understanding of IoT systems, industrial devices, and related communication protocols.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
