Join our software engineering team at the India Development Center in Bangalore. Our team works on process automation applications, configuration tools, communication interfaces, IoT integration, and condition monitoring solutions for critical energy assets. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain software components that support real industrial use cases. How you’ll make an impact:
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain software components for process automation and industrial applications under defined requirements.
- Implement assigned software modules and features using approved technologies, coding standards, and development guidelines.
- Support detailed design, implementation, and verification activities in collaboration with senior engineers and technical leads.
- Participate in integration and testing activities for software interfacing with automation systems, communication layers, or industrial devices.
- Contribute to defect analysis, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of software quality.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to assigned features, test results, and implementation details.
- Work closely with quality assurance, product teams, and domain experts for timely task completion.
- Build domain knowledge in industrial communication, automation systems, and process automation applications through project execution and guidance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. M.E./M.Tech is an added advantage.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in software development, preferably in process automation, industrial automation, or related technology environments.
- Good foundation in programming and object-oriented software development.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, requirements engineering, coding standards, version control systems, and agile development practices.
- Basic exposure to software design principles, modularity, maintainability, and structured development practices.
- Awareness of machine learning concepts and interest in applying data-driven techniques in software or industrial use cases.
- Knowledge of IoT systems and protocols.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, debugging, verbal communication, and written communication skills in English.

You will work in a technology-driven environment focused on high-voltage equipment condition monitoring and digital monitoring solutions for switchgear assets. The role provides exposure to circuit breakers, disconnectors and earthing switches, gas compartments, heater systems, monitoring sensors, communication interfaces, embedded/web-based user interfaces, and data-driven diagnostics.
