Job Description

Teams Engineer

Responsibilities

·         Serve as the first point of contact for all issues related to Teams, SharePoint, and Slack.

·         Act as the final escalation point for complex issues related to Microsoft Teams, Teams SharePoint site and Slack.

·         Perform root cause analysis and resolve advanced incidents, ensuring long-term stability and prevention of recurring issues.

·         Design, implement, and maintain Teams governance policies, including compliance, security, and integration with other Microsoft 365 services.

·         Architect and optimize SharePoint sites, libraries, and workflows, including automation with Power Automate for enterprise-scale solutions.

·         Lead troubleshooting of Slack workspace integrations, advanced app/bot configurations, and cross-platform interoperability.

·          Collaborate with L1/L2 teams by developing SOPs, knowledge base articles, and training materials to improve first-line resolution rates.

·         Conduct performance monitoring, reporting, and analytics across collaboration platforms to identify trends and recommend improvements.

·         Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure data governance, retention policies, and audit readiness across collaboration tools.

·         Drive automation initiatives using Power Automate, scripting (PowerShell), and API integrations to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.

·         Lead platform upgrades, migrations, and integration projects, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum adoption.

·         Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in collaboration technologies.

Bachelor's Degree required. Preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

·         Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

·         Hands-on experience supporting:

·          - Microsoft Teams (chat, meetings, calls, file sharing)

·          - SharePoint Online (basic site and document management)

·          - Slack (user management, basic troubleshooting)

·          - Strong customer service and communication skills.
