Job Description

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Manager – Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation, upgrade, migration, and support projects for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations, Customer Engagement, Business Central, Supply Chain Management, CRM, etc.).
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocation plans, and project budgets.
• Manage project execution using Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies based on project requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams comprising functional consultants, technical consultants, developers, architects, QA, and infrastructure teams.
• Conduct project kickoff meetings and ensure alignment among internal teams, customers, and third-party vendors.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, risks, dependencies, and issues while ensuring timely resolution.
• Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and resource utilization.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with organizational governance and Microsoft best practices.
• Facilitate business requirement gathering sessions and validate solution designs with business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure the proposed Dynamics 365 solution aligns with business objectives.
• Oversee configuration, customization, integrations, data migration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support activities.
• Ensure successful execution of System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployment.
• Manage project risks, change requests, scope changes, and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain project documentation including project plans, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), status reports, and governance documents.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide progress updates to executive leadership and steering committees.
• Coordinate with Microsoft, implementation partners, and third-party vendors to resolve technical and functional issues.
• Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and organizational governance standards during implementation.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and change management activities to support user adoption.
• Manage end-user training plans, knowledge transfer sessions, and project transition to support teams.
• Monitor project KPIs including schedule adherence, budget variance, resource utilization, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend best practices to optimize Dynamics 365 implementations.
• Support proposal development, project estimations, presales activities, and resource planning for new initiatives.
• Ensure successful project closure by obtaining customer sign-off, completing lessons learned documentation, and transitioning to support.
