We're looking for an Investment Operations Specialist to play a key role in managing securities transactions across multiple markets and custodians. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving operational challenges, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end processing of securities transactions and settlements.
- Ensure accurate booking and accounting of transactions within client portfolios.
- Monitor and prioritize operations based on risk, deadlines, transaction value, and client impact.
- Perform trade matching and reconcile transactions with counterparties and custodians.
- Manage settlement instructions and follow up on pending transactions to ensure timely execution.
- Monitor cash and securities positions, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.
- Ensure operational controls are executed effectively, with proper documentation and audit readiness.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate operational risks.
- Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in securities operations, settlements, asset servicing, or transaction processing within a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, securities products, and post-trade activities.
- Proficiency in English (mandatory).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on risk and control.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Additional Information
(Hybrid work, with 2/3 days of work in the office in LISBON per week)
