Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare AGL engineering drawings including plans, elevations, layouts, installation/construction details, and wiring schematics

  • Develop drawings from conceptual stage through to detailed as-built documentation

  • Support projects across all phases: bidding, pre-bidding, execution, and close-out

  • Maintain and update drawings for the Design & Consulting library

  • Interpret design inputs and translate them into accurate technical drawings

  • Basic understanding of X, Y, Z coordinate systems and the ability to interpret and extract coordinate points from engineering drawings

  • Work under the guidance and oversight of Designers

  • Implement design parameters and requirements defined by Designers

  • Incorporate feedback and revisions from periodic design reviews

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams when required

  • Identify opportunities to improve drawing processes and workflows

  • Suggest enhancements to tools, standards, and libraries

  • Stay updated with best practices in drafting and design

Design & Quality Compliance:

  • Follow internal drawing procedures, standards, and libraries strictly

  • Ensure all drawings meet quality, accuracy, and completeness requirements

  •  Apply company-approved templates and design conventions

  • Conduct self-checks before submission for review

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Proficiency in CAD/design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or similar tools)

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawing principles

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Qualifications

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
