Job Description
- Perform welding and quality control inspections during offshore pipeline installation in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Monitor welding and NDT activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Review pipeline inspection records, test packages, and mechanical completion documentation (ITRs).
- Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing activities.
- Review final quality dossiers and inspection documentation prior to project handover.
- Raise, monitor, and support the close-out of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist with punch list identification and resolution.
- Verify contractor compliance with project quality requirements, procedures, and specifications.
- Support the Offshore Pipeline Quality Control Lead during offshore installation campaigns.
- Contribute to project lessons learned and final close-out reports.
- Ensure all activities are executed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including offshore quality and welding inspection.
- At least 10 years of offshore pipelay installation experience.
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification (minimum required).
- Level II NDT certification (SNT-TC-1A or ISO 9712) is an advantage.
- Proven experience inspecting welding and installation activities onboard offshore pipelay or reel-lay vessels.
- Strong knowledge of offshore pipeline welding, NDT, hydrotesting, and quality control processes.
- Experience reviewing ITPs, ITRs, test packages, and quality documentation.
- Demonstrated experience managing NCRs, corrective actions, and contractor quality compliance.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure, multicultural offshore environment.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Valid BOSIET and OGUK Medical certifications prior to offshore mobilization.
