Responsibilities

• Provide circulating nursing care for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, and supplies for cardiac and vascular surgeries.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure adherence to infection prevention and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, perfusionists, and surgical technologists throughout procedures.
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes during surgery.
• Accurately document perioperative care in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by the facility.
